Who You Are

  • Minimum 5 years of professional design experience at a design firm, agency, publication, or media company, with an emphasis on branding, motion identity, and graphic design.
  • A natural ability to collaborate with others and thrive under pressure.
  • Experience with Print design, magazine, book and other printed materials.
  • Experience with Keynote/Google Slides for creating pitches and presentations.
  • A refined, stylish approach to typography and layout compatible with the Complex aesthetic.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Must be imaginative, resourceful, and able to handle multiple projects efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mastery of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is a must and the ability to design for a motion graphics workflow is essential.
  • Experience with After Effects and Premiere is highly recommended. Experience with Cinema 4D, Sketch, and UI/UX design is a definite plus.

What You'll Do

  • Work collaboratively within a team environment on numerous design projects across a variety of platforms and applications – show identities, event collateral, product packaging, print etc.
  • Perform a leading role in the design of identities for new series, evolve existing franchises, and initiate experiments and explorations for future projects.
  • Create brand guidelines, templates, and marketing materials for Complex Networks’s audience-facing brands and IP.
  • Create editorial artwork for use on the web and across social platforms.
  • Contribute concept and design work to special projects across a variety of platforms and media, including but not limited to printed books and zines, apparel, and physical and digital exhibitions and installations.
  • Organize and present creative work for internal and external review.
  • Maintain a sense of ownership over assigned projects and initiate creative conversations cross-departmentally as needed.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and supportive team culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with current design trends and techniques, sharing information and inspiration with fellow designers.
  • Help identify emerging and established freelance talent when needed.
