Job Description

An established Los Angeles (east side) based artist’s studio seeks a part time office assistant/errand runner to support studio staff with administrative tasks, organization, coordination of day to day activities, and errand running three days per week. Preferred schedule is MWF.

The ideal candidate will possess a balance of professionalism, discretion, resourcefulness, and flexibility. A background or interest in art is preferred. This is an entry level position that supports the operations manager, office manager, as well as, the artist’s personal assistant.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Fielding and transferring phone calls

Receiving and distributing mail and packages

Greeting visitors to the studio

Working with the office manager to stock and maintain the studio kitchen for studio staff and artist

Running personal errands for artist (picking up prescriptions, taking the artist’s dog to the groomer, purchasing clothing and gifts, etc.)

Errand running for studio staff (picking up and dropping off packages, ordering and picking up lunches, etc.)

Ordering office supplies

Organizing shared spaces and maintaining tidiness throughout the studio

Requirements

Requirements include:

An eagerness to learn

Good listening skills

Excellent organizational, follow up, and time management skills, with attention to detail

Comfort around dogs (small and large)

Some proficiency in Apple based programs

A reliable car and a valid CA driver’s license
