Key Responsibilities:

Technical Solution Development

  • IT Support: Play a central role in researching, implementing, and maintaining law enforcement software, systems, and peripherals.
  • Mobile & Emergency Systems: Support mobile systems, including VPN, cellular access, and rugged laptops in police vehicles.
  • 24/7 On-Call Support: Be the go-to expert for all emergency systems within the department.

Compliance

  • Data Protection: Safeguard the security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to state, federal, and departmental guidelines.

Police Records Management

  • Record Accuracy & Compliance: Review police reports and records from both a legal and technical perspective.
  • Expungement Management: Oversee the expungement process.
  • Public Records Management: Ensure records practices meet public access guidelines.

Crime Analysis

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use both quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze crime data.
  • Forecasting & Intelligence: Utilize statistical analysis to forecast crime patterns.
  • Investigative Support: Provide actionable insights to investigators.

Qualifications

Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree with zero – two years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience
